INTERIOR PAINTING · CLARK COUNTY, WA

Interior Painting in Vancouver, WA

House painters for walls, ceilings, trim, doors and cabinets, with the prep work done right and your home protected while we work.

A fresh coat of paint changes a room faster than anything else, but only when the prep is done properly. NextGen ProBuild is a residential painting and remodeling contractor serving homeowners in Vancouver and across Clark County. We patch and sand before we paint, cut clean lines along the trim, and leave your home tidy at the end of every day. Because we also do drywall, carpentry and remodeling, one crew can handle the repairs that usually come up along the way.

Our home painters serve Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, La Center, Brush Prairie, Hockinson and Orchards. We also paint homes in the Portland metro, OR, including Portland, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Happy Valley, Clackamas and Hillsboro.

What We Paint Inside Your Home

Interior painting for a single room or the whole house. Every job starts with prep and ends with a walkthrough.

Walls & ceilings

Two coats in the color you choose, rolled evenly with clean edges where the wall meets the ceiling. Ceilings in flat white or a color to match.

Trim, doors & baseboards

Baseboards, casing, crown, interior doors and closet doors, sanded, caulked and painted so the lines look sharp.

Accent walls

One bold wall in paint, or a hand-applied decorative plaster finish for a room that needs a focal point.

Prep work

Patching, drywall repair, caulking, sanding and primer. The part nobody sees is the part that makes the finish last.

Smooth, texture-free walls

Want walls with no orange peel or knockdown texture? We skim coat to a Level 5 drywall finish before painting, so the paint reads as one flat surface.

Repaint after a remodel

New drywall, new trim and patched walls after a kitchen, bathroom or flooring project, painted so the whole room looks finished.

Cabinet Painting

If your kitchen or bathroom cabinets are solid but dated, painting them is the way to refresh the room without replacing them. Here is how we do it.

1. Clean & sand

Doors and drawer fronts come off and are labeled. Every surface is degreased and sanded so the new finish bonds properly.

2. Prime

A bonding primer on the boxes, doors and drawer fronts, so the color covers evenly and stays put on wood, laminate or previously painted cabinets.

3. Spray finish

The color is sprayed, not brushed, for a smooth, even finish without brush marks, then the doors go back on and are adjusted to close straight.

4. New hardware

New pulls, knobs and soft-close hinges if you want them, with old holes filled and new ones drilled to a template.

Before and after of a home entry: old wood front door, then a terracotta-colored door with fresh white trim

Exterior Painting

Exterior painting for Clark County homes: siding, trim, fascia, shutters, front doors and garage doors, plus stain and sealer for decks and fences. The Pacific Northwest is hard on exterior paint, so we spend most of the job on preparation.

Prep

Washing, scraping loose paint, sanding, caulking open joints and priming bare wood before any color goes on.

Siding & trim

Body color on the siding and a contrasting color on the trim, fascia and shutters, with repairs to damaged boards where needed.

Doors & decks

Front doors and garage doors painted for a fresh first impression, and decks and fences cleaned and stained or sealed.

Painting FAQ

Do you paint whole homes or single rooms?

Both. Many of our painting jobs are one or two rooms: a bedroom, a living room, a hallway that has not been painted in years. Others are the whole interior before a move-in or after a remodel. We write the plan around what you need, and the same crew does the prep, the painting and the cleanup.

What does your prep work include?

Good paint only looks good on a prepared surface. Before any color goes on, we fill nail holes and dents, repair damaged drywall, caulk gaps along the trim, sand rough spots and prime patched areas or bare wood. If you want the texture gone entirely, we can take the walls to a smooth Level 5 finish first.

Can you paint my kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them?

Yes, if the cabinet boxes and doors are solid. We clean and sand the surfaces, prime them and spray the finish so it dries smooth and even, then put on new pulls and knobs if you want them. The kitchen keeps its layout and gets a very different look.

How do you protect my home while you paint?

Floors, furniture, counters and fixtures are covered before we open a can of paint. Dust from sanding is contained, and we clean up at the end of every working day. When the work is done we walk each room with you and touch up anything that is not right.
